Amd Boosts Android On Windows Pcs And Tablets Powered By Its Chips

Standard

Something to look forward to? Let’s hope this genuinely offers several insight.

Rather, it will sell a version of the Google-backed OS packaged as a Windows executable by BlueStacks, a software company in which AMD Ventures owns a stake. BlueStacks’ version of Android runs from within Windows, allowing it access to PC hardware including cameras, accelerometers or gyroscopes, and to the Windows file system. “It’s a virtualized Android experience as a Windows app. The two worlds can talk to each other,” said AMD’s senior director for mobility solutions, Kevin Lensing, showing off the software on the company’s stand at Mobile World Congress. The software forms part of another demo in which AMD uses the front-facing camera on a tablet as a gesture-based controller. The demo software draws on the graphics processor to track the user’s index finger and move the cursor accordingly. Bending the finger generates a click. In this way, Lensing was able to play the Android version of “Angry Birds” on a Windows tablet without touching the screen and without the need for additional controller hardware.

Standard

It’s my opinion that every moment is a chance to understand something. You can test that theory out with this news piece beneath:

There are also optional keyboard docks – both from Samsungs, and upcoming ones from Logitech and Zagg. The keyboard dock, along with a Bluetooth mouse, turns the NotePro 12.2 into a 12-inch Android notebook. Samsung Galaxy NotePro 12.2 Tech Specs The specs below of the NotePro 12.2 are pretty impressive, but are actually not much different than last years Note 10.1 2014 edition, so its performance should be similar to its predecessor. There is also an LTE model that uses a Snapdragon 800 SoC, but we havent been able to test that one yet. SoC MSRP $750 – $850 Pricing The Galaxy NotePro 12.2 is available now in the U.S. The 32GB model is $750, and the 64GB model is $850. The 32GB model is also coming to Canada later this month for $770. The NotePro 12.2 has already been available in the UK since early February, starting at 649.

Apple Unlikely To Launch 12.9″ Ipad Or Third-gen Ipad Mini In 2014, Ipad Air To Gain A8 & Touch Id

Standard

I found this today and thought it may be appropriate.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities issued a report Saturday evening obtained by AppleInsider, in which he predicted that overall iPad shipments will actually decline this year. That’s because he expects that the iPad Air will be the only iPad model to see a refresh in 2014, gaining a next-generation A8 processor and Touch ID fingerprint sensor late in the third quarter of the year. According to Kuo, development of the next iPad Air and a new 12.9-inch iPad will be the main focus for Apple in the tablet market this year. As such, progress on a new iPad mini will be affected, he believes. As a result, Kuo said that the chances of a new iPad mini model in the second half of 2014 are “slim.” He also doesn’t expect that development on a new, larger 12.9-inch mode, sometimes referred to as an “iPad Pro,” will be completed in time for a launch this year, leaving just an iPad Air with A8 CPU and Touch ID as the company’s refreshed tablet. Regarding the rumored 12.9-inch iPad, Kuo said he expects it to be a growth driver for the company, and will require a revised operating system to take advantage of the larger display. Apple’s current iPad lineup tops out with a 9.7-inch screen on the iPad Air. According to Kuo, Apple has placed its priorities on finishing the operating system for its anticipated “iWatch,” which he says will launch this year.

Ipad Air Conquers All In Tablet Battery Test With 11-13 Hour Showing

Standard

Sometimes you really have to simplify when looking to find appropriate info in a sea of clutter. We think the following piece of content kind of cuts by way of the noise & gives us some valuable news information.

Most reviews had good things to say about battery life (many even experiencing more than 10 hours ), but its interesting to see how the device stacks up against the rest of the tablet market. While battery life largely depends on how youre using your iPad, an extensive test from Which? shows that iPad Air comes out on top in just about any case and significantly beats out much of the competition. The iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display and iPad 2 all performed better than the Android alternatives for web browsing. On a full tank, Apples iPad Air will last for 658 minutes of web-browsing beating the 483 minutes offered by the longest-lasting Android tablet we tested, Samsungs Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition). Likewise, the iPad mini with Retina display features an impressive 614 minutes of internet usage, while Apples three year old iPad 2 managed a sterling 590 minutes. The graphic above pretty much speaks for itself, but you can read more about the test on Which .

16gb Wi-fi Ipad Mini With Retina Display Gets $50 Price Cut At Best Buy

Standard

This could have a number of possibilities! We can only hope that it’s as great as it looks.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 32GB

Apple joined the party with its original iPad Mini, which enjoyed great success but also received some criticism for not rocking the company’s iconic Retina display. The company addressed those complaints with its second-generation iPad Mini in 2013, adding a Retina display and also some notable improvements. Apple has continued selling the first-generation iPad Mini for $299, while the Retina display and superior internals in the second generation have commanded a price bump to $399.99 for the entry-level model. As a reminder, the second-generation iPad Mini comes with a 7.9-inch LED backlit multi-touch IPS display with a Retina resolution of 2048 x 1536 and a high pixel density of 326 pixels per inch (ppi). Moreover, the iPad Mini with Retina display also packs Apple’s powerful A7 processor and M7 co-processor on 64-bit architecture, just like the flagship iPhone 5S and full-size iPad Air. In other words, the iPad Mini with Retina display may have a more compact form factor, but it is still a powerhouse under the hood. Other specs include 16GB of internal storage capacity, a 5-megapixel iSight camera with face detection, autofocus, backside illumination, Hybrid IR filter, HDR, video stabilization, 1080p video recording, and other high-end features, as well as a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD camera for video calls.

Microsoft Ceo Nadella: Come Clean About Windows Rt

Standard

It’s very simple to get overwhelmed during busy news periods for any certain niche. We believe the fundamental data that you want is right here in this piece of content:

To those Windows enthusiasts who will no doubt complain that the tech press is still writing about this, it’s because customers are still buying tablets that won’t meet their needs. That’s directly on Microsoft’s back, as it doesn’t make it clear to consumers that there are two Windows, and that one may not work for them. Meanwhile, I am still happily using my Asus Transformer Book T100 tablet with full Windows 8 . The ability to install legacy software was a big factor in my decision to purchase it. Having a good price like those Windows RT tablets played a role, too. Which adds to the buyer confusion, as it makes little sense that tablets without the RT restriction can be purchased with little or no price penalty.

Standard

Something to look forward to? Let’s hope we’re right & this really is worth it to read.

best tablets on the market galaxy pro release date

Some notables in the competition include the Google Nexus 7, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, and Apples iPad Mini with retina display. Speed was tested using Geekbench , a scoring system designed to test the processing speed of computer devices. Testing is designed to run the tablets through tasks that an average person would perform. Using various categories, Geekbench scores the tablets and ranks them accordingly. The iPad Air often receives major points for its sleek and slender design, as well as being the newest flagship tablet of the biggest seller in the US. Larger than the 9.7 inch iPad Air, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has proven to be a formidable opponent. In fact, Samsung has been able to cut into Apples tablet market share significantly on the back of the larger device.
